Clears throat, pause unsettles suspect—

No lozenge needed, bright Lieutenant Columbo solved every homicide.

    • Hi there, glad to meet another fan! There’s an episode where he says his signature line, “oh, just one more thing”–and William Shatner’s character, the murderer replies, “Columbo, if you say that one more time I’m going to kill myself”. Makes me laugh! 🙂

      • Laughing, and Shatner wasn’t the only one who felt that way. I love how the killer always thought they were smarter than Columbo until they realize he was picking apart their story.


        • For a formulaic series, it was 5 Star–it never seemed repetitive to me…even with some of the signature aspects of Columbo, and the ever arrogant murderers. One of my favorite episodes was the one with Johnny Cash–I really liked the relationship that the 2 had together in their opposite rolls, great mutual respect (and Cash’s character didn’t show the typical arrogance). I liked that Columbo was most often compassionate toward people…even the bad guys 🙂
