Today’s prompt: divorce, umbrella, octopus

Divorced the Octopus

Control-freak

His self-centered greed, anger

Flare-ups…

Infatuation had missed red flags

Left him everything but my books…umbrella over soul.

  1. Nice one Engle. I do need to admit though, that I did not create this wonderful form. I found it online after searching for short form poetry. I do like it very much though. I’m not sure who created it. There are various iterations of thee form with some people using the pi sequence to determine syllables or stanzas. I like this version, using word count. 😉
