Some loves
burst into
the world
like a kernel
of corn exploding
from the heat
which cannot be
contained.

Some loves
unfold like buds
sipping of spring rain
dancing on each ray of sunshine
slowly unfurling
stretching each petal
coming to full bloom.

Some loves
for ever tumultuous, withstand
summer hailstorms of words
flashes of lightning,
until the thunderous roar rumbles
into the distant setting sun

Some loves
sail like leaves
floating aimlessly
on autumn winds
comfortably settling
into a long winters nap
without need to articulate
all that it is
