April Cyclone (NaPoWriMo)

April, characteristic of lovely spring

Has not shown favor to every poet…

As yet no fragrant breeze wafts heart

Instead, a cyclone bedevilshungry

For soul’s peace, keen to raze earthly

Purpose small, perhaps significant.

But nay, blame can’t be laid on April…

Rather, dark principalities’ ruler; his

Futile goal, delight: steal, kill, destroy

Those God has set His seal upon…as

Dear Day of Resurrection draws near.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12,  KJV

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” John 10:10, ESV

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-39, Berean Study Bible
