If God Is Dead…

Had to share this beautiful song…my heart echoes Loretta’s words:  “If God is dead, who’s this living in my soul?”

Blessings to all, this Resurrection Day ~ Ennle

(If God is dead who’s this living in my soul)

He put flowers on the hills your cup he gladly fills
How can you turn around and say God is dead
But when your stories have all been told there’s one thing I’d like to know
If God is dead who’s this living in my soul

He gives us shelter from life’s stormy weather gives us love to keep us together
Oh when life gets like a ship on a raging sea
And when the stage of life grows cold somebody helps us to play our role
If God is dead who’s this living in my soul

If my soul had windows I’d leave them open so the world could see
Those ugly scars upon the hands that bled for you and me
There’s the bridge you can cross if you will the toll was paid on Golgotha’s hill
If God is dead who’s this living in my soul
If God is dead who’s this living in my soul

  1. Ennie,
You outdid yourself here! Loretta Lynn has been a favorite for me since I first heard her ding with Conway Twitty. As a black girl growing up in the South, in Tennesee, I loved country music, and Mrs. Loretta especially. Couldn’t wait to see her on Hee Haw or some other show, What a great song and question: whose living in my soul? We all have to decide the answer before death. It was like you had only me on your mind!

    • Ohhh, bless your baby heart, Regina!! ❤ I heard it for the first time on TBN the other night, and was immediately SOLD–I'm forever grateful to our Lord that I can answer the question without a single doubt!
