Hope Resurrected (NaPoWriMo)

For Holy Saturday…

I will touch His hem, be healed…

Kneel at His cross, where Love did bleed.

I will pour from heart my tears and praise

Be lifted up…thus, hands to Him I raise.

For grace and mercy reign with Risen King

Hope resurrected, blessed Lord, I sing.

Dressed in radiance, my Savior lives…

Shed Blood covers sins, yes, Christ forgives.

ABC’s of Faith-Walk

http://www.napowrimo.net/day-nineteen-4/

Optional Prompt:  “write an abecedarian poem – a poem in which the word choice follows the words/order of the alphabet.”

Another eleventh hour entry, color me Amazed!

Able, Blessed to be Called by Christ

Divine invitation, heart’s Desire

Everything isn’t Easy about this Faith-walk

But it’s Greater than anything life without

It has offered…and Heaven’s at my

Rainbow’s end.  I’m sealed IN Christ Jesus

With Kiss of Holy Spirit…it’s LOVE‘S Marvelous

Magnificent journey, Nothing else will measure

Up NowOnly Jesus satisfies, gives Peace

In circumstances where no peace exists (mind

Filled with Questions Raging, Soul in Torment).

Undeserving of grace, I Understand He Views

Me through His Blood, Valuable—which is

Wealth the World can’t afford (says I’m not

Worthy)—but God’s thoughts, Ways are far

Above what people can conceive.

God’s communion with me is more than

Xenial; I’m not mere friend or guest, but

Beloved daughter…

He’s polished all my Yesterdays with

His goodness…so, I’ve got my Zeal on

Must talk-talk-talk about Him🙂

Heart like a boulder

Not hard-edged, stony, but huge

Heavy with love’s thoughts

Yellow creases ’round your eyes

Sunshine; gold delight, your kiss

Man without equal

Love which couldn’t be copied

Spring, reminiscent

April’s flowered innocence

And I, still longing for you

Ferry Me, Love (NaPoWriMo)

http://www.napowrimo.net/day-eighteen-5/

https://wordofthedaychallenge.wordpress.com/2019/04/16/ferry/

I’m skating in at nearly the eleventh hour to hopefully fulfill NaPoWriMo’s optional prompt, which speaks to grief, loss, love… Ennle

Ferry me, in your arms, Love

Cradled across Time, opal-starred

Ocean…where you are forever.

Take me back to childhood’s

Naïve belief that dreams were

More real than imagined possibles

Flights of whimsy fanciful…not

Slated to only come true for

Someone smarter, an exotic

Gilt-edged rose; or one not broken

Too soon to untwist brain’s bent

Wires and limbs of heart, their pale

Weak marrow diseased.

Ferry me, in your arms, to a place

Where you’d love me without

Question, second thought as to folly

Or wisdom, others’ opinions…

Because you knew your own mind

Captained your ship to success, against

Critic’s sharp (petty, envious) waves…

Because the 30 years’ span, differences

Between your bright-lights world, mine

Would disappear, mere movie mist…

The sky is prickled with gemstone’s fire

Ferry me, my Love…

April Cyclone (NaPoWriMo)

April, characteristic of lovely spring

Has not shown favor to every poet…

As yet no fragrant breeze wafts heart

Instead, a cyclone bedevilshungry

For soul’s peace, keen to raze earthly

Purpose small, perhaps significant.

But nay, blame can’t be laid on April…

Rather, dark principalities’ ruler; his

Futile goal, delight: steal, kill, destroy

Those God has set His seal upon…as

Dear Day of Resurrection draws near.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12,  KJV

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” John 10:10, ESV

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-39, Berean Study Bible
