Translucent Rainy Days

In Other Words, rainy day…

April showers…translucent rainy days, with

Warming temps, change backdrop of world.

Palest green and baby pink nubs on branches

Flip switch in brain; prior seasons…fall, winter

Lost amid amnesiac mist.

Valued Baby Boy

In Other Words, baby boy…

Obvious from early on

No special status, favor as first-born…

Once prince arrived, fanfare told

The higher value of baby boy.

Lived mourning stillbirth, female soul…

Invisible

In Other Words, invisible…

Patricia’s instructions and today’s prompt:  Write a story or poem of 5 Lines or Less using the word invisible—Link back to HER post above, “In Other Words”.

Seems the world prefers me Invisible

Unseen, mute… My thoughts, opinions

Passions, dreams, wants, feelings, needs—

Unsolicited, they pass as breeze, ignored.

Old voice echoes: “Don’t go away mad, just go away”.
