Ashes, burned letters

Pressed into pendant’s

Sealed glass frame

Fastened on fine sterling

Chain…keepsake of what

I could never own…

You are talisman, Love

‘Round my neck, warm

Heartbeat synced with

Pulse in my throat.

Amulet, protection from

Dragon of loneliness…

Comfort, I’m well content alone.

Another Sphere

Never on same

With rest of world…

Another sphere spins slower, true—

Lush imagination where heart, soul tarry…creating, treasuring contentment.
