Faith-Walk (A to Z Challenge, Letter F)

Father of love and grace unfailing, You

Always hear my call, catch me as I fall, for You’re able

In every way to save, restore, shine new.

Triumph is sure; in Christ, I trust each battle’s won…Lord, Your

Hands hold my life together, heal…I’m hidden and well-anchored.

Wherever I am, You’ve gone ahead

Arranged my path with provision abundant.

Love’s voice is Shepherd, Water, Bread…for

King of my heart, I’ll wear destiny’s raiment.

Significance, & Bearing Fruit

“Aim not to live a life of prominence, but a life of significance.”

~ Pastor Ethan Fisher, Gateway Church, Southlake TX

In his message, Pastor Fisher noted that prominence is temporary but significance is lasting.

Dr Jon Chasteen, President of The King’s University in Southlake, TX, shared Psalm 1:3-5, from The Passion Translation.  He reminded us that believers are “bearing fruit in every season of life”, no matter what our circumstances.  We should not be discouraged during seasons when it seems “nothing is happening”, or it feels like a wilderness…wilderness times are not God’s punishment, but rather a period of training and pruning, to prepare us for our ordained destiny.

Surely many of us are “bearing fruit” through April’s writing challenges, sharing positive words and encouraging one another.  Let’s keep it going!  Blessings to you as we begin Week TwoEnnle

Psalm 1:3-5 The Passion Translation (TPT)

He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree
planted by God’s design,[a]
deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss,
bearing fruit in every season of his life.
He is never dry, never fainting,
ever blessed, ever prosperous.[b]

Sacred Threshold (#writephoto)

Friday Foto Fun – Sacred

Kate asks: “What is sacred to you?”

Thursday photo prompt: Threshold #writephoto

A “sacred” place is anywhere

The Spirit of God is heard…

Heart hears footprints

Echoing impossibly

Before I see them…or

Step out, make my own.

Whispers in the wind

Mingled ‘mid seagulls…

Maligned birds I adore

Sad cries sound like ‘more’…

Whispering footsteps beckon

Softly, “Come on, you can, dare”.

Each day holds sacred threshold…

What, Who’s voice is calling?

It’s often “courage”…shake off

What binds freedom, deepest soul.

Take Sacred hand, God’s healing…

Become what He sees, be whole.

Life swift passes, don’t exit perched

On Destiny’s threshold, step through…

Taste triumph, heart, waiting within you.

Destiny (A to Z, Letter D)

Faith-walk with God

Carries destiny* secured

Despite heart’s shipwrecks

Rock-strewn roads, unpaved

Paths…mountains of towering

Doubt, dark ravines deserted…

No poor choices, decisions unwise

Mistakes or undeniable sin can

Permanently derail, nor downspin

Deter, the course that’s sealed by

Covenant God…He is my Deliverer!**

Past, Present, Future…known to Him.

No one can override His power, or

Separate me from His love, good

Purpose…I’m drenched in His grace.

He is the Father who delights*** in me

Walks before, behind, alongside…

Guiding my journey, destiny.

Bible Verses:

*“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11, New Living Translation

**“The righteous cry, and the LORD hears And delivers them out of all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17; “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2 ~ New American Standard Bible

***“He bringeth me forth to a large place, He draweth me out, because He delighted in me.” Psalm 18:19, Young’s Literal Translation

“You will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow. You will be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, a royal diadem in the palm of your God. No longer will you be called Forsaken, nor your land named Desolate; but you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be His bride.”  Isaiah 62:2b-4, Berean Study Bible

Called by Creator (A to Z, Letter C)

Called by Creator, Heavenly Father

Called by name* I would hear and

Recognize, to follow Shepherd’s voice…

Set apart, particular, by God’s

Pattern individually fashioned…

Called to be transformed by His

Spirit; molded in Hands for

Purpose*, plan…the “Holy”

“Higher”, filled with hope*.

Faith-walk designed to reach

Singular destiny…gifts of God

And His calling, irrevocable.

Praying that by “walk’s” end I’ll

Become…gem, in His Crown of Glory.

“And whom He did call, these also He declared righteous; and whom He declared righteous, these also He did glorify.”  Romans 8:30, Young’s Literal Translation

Once, convinced of

Power, reverse Midas touch…

To turn success, rank failure.

T’was deceit, meant to keep me from destiny sapphire’d.

Mysterious tiles luring, leading
