Almighty God, Creator

Heavenly Father, the Lord

Is a generous giver…He

Loves, lives to give gifts

Whether to His children or

To strangers, those who

Don’t trust, believe, accept

Believe in His goodness…

Due, perhaps, to abuses by

Family, churches.  Maybe their

Roots are in different cultures

Religious teachings.  Possibly

Dire events, circumstances

Have disappointed, embittered

Tender, fragile hearts.

But God’s heart and hands remain

Always open…He’s the Lord of

Much More, abundant blessings.

Whatever we’re lacking, we can

Ask of Him; what we need, He’ll

Provide…gifts aplenty, from His

Love:  JESUS, Joy, Peace, Hope

Freedom, Grace, Mercy, Living

Water, Bread of Life; Resurrection

Power to heal, restore, rebuild

Reconcile; Forgiveness, Salvation’s

Eternal Life…LOVE unconditional

Unfailing, Everlasting…Light for all the World.

God’s Love (A to Z Challenge, Letter L)

Okay, I’m such a goof…thought we had the weekends off during the A to Z Challenge…so, last night I realized I was going to run out of days before I got to “Z”.  Guess we only have Sundays off…honestly, you’d think this was my first rodeo 😉  So…I’m gonna have to double up a bit…but you’re under no obligation to increase your visits.  Good grief, I’m hopeless!

Everlasting, Eternal (A to Z, Letter E)

Everything of this earthly life

Is temporary, fleeting, gone in

Blink of eye or with the wind.

Even memories are fragile

Some like gossamer veil

Tissue easily torn…

But my God is Everlasting

Forever Eternal…His great love

Too, ever-Present, binding me

With mercy, grace for Everyday.

Eyes! Look not so much on what is

Transient, but all that is unseen…

Grand gleaming glory, Everlasting.

Heart! Endeavor now, sow to Holy

Spirit…soon reap best Life Eternal’s

Rest, gift of Jesus’ sacrifice promised

To believers who receive Him… for

God desires that no one perish.

When curious faith-walk here does

End, He’ll call me to blessed mansion

Waiting…forever home, in Father’s house.
