Sunday’s Week in ReVerse – 24 March 2019

“A ReVerse poem is a summary poem with a single line lifted from each entry of a collection of work over a particular time frame and re-penned in chronological order as a new poem. Unlike a collaborative poem, the ReVerse features the words of one writer, providing a glimpse into their thoughts over time. I use it as a review of the previous week.” ~ Kat

Click Kat’s link above for full info. I decided to give her ReVerse form a whirl…not sure if it’s kosher to use the titles, but that’s what I’m doing for my first attempt.  I couldn’t possibly include every post for the past week, as I have multiple posts per day… So I just did a “bunch”—here we go, a review, ReVerse, of recent post titles:

Seeking Peace of Mind

Delirious Delia climbed

Ryan’s Ladder…alas he’d

Spiraled down into his

Dungeon of Mind…fatally

Intriguing Symptom.

Thus, X Marks the Spot

Her Theme now Revealed

She needed Scarlet Salvation

And Exercise, perhaps a brief

Deception Pings Last Earthly

Breath, Offering heart

Dangling from Bloody Tassel.

Her sister, Curmudgeon-ette on

Fidelity street, sings “Of Bottles

On WindowsillCan’t Abandon

Faith, I Take it BackWhat

Shall We do, Dear?”

But no Poet Gluttony is

Suffered by Full Moon Barge

Pilotand Nervous Nan’s

Pillbox is Miraculous Mess:

She ponders, “Dust, or Stardust?”

It’s Child’s Burden, the World

And Luna Taunts, “Laugh”.

Renaissance Mechanic

Today’s prompt: rocks, oregano, carburetor

My new mechanic

Carburetor, muffler, transmission…whatever

Of all trades—cooks, gardens

Particularly herbs…tells me he grows a mean oregano!

Sailboat Slammer’d (3TC)

Today’s prompt: nose, Alabama, sailboat

I do not sail…I adore the water

From shore’s unmoving vantage.

So I bid the group fair voyage as

They boarded gleaming sailboat…and

Settled on the sand, novel in hand.

Gaily their voices, laughter sang loud

Across teal distance…such fun to be

Had—getting sunburned, hoisting

Host’s cocktail…Alabama Slammers.

Glancing up, I watched joyous boat

Slam nose into stone jetty.

3-2-1 Quote Me! (On Life)

I usually abstain from anything where I have to involve other bloggers who may be unwilling to participate…but, Paula asked me so nicely, and heck, people are always free to decline.  (And it was huge FUN on a day when I seriously needed some!)

So here are my two quotations on the topic of “life”, followed by 3 named bloggers who may be happily inclined to carry the torch 🙂

“If you think about something at 3 o’clock in the morning and then again at noon the next day, you get different answers.”  Charles M Schutz (“Peanuts” cartoon creator)

“Sometimes I’ve believed as many as 6 impossible things before breakfast.”  Lewis Carroll, Alice In Wonderland
