Campus Life, 1971-72

Today’s prompt: campus, pipe, haze

Probably don’t need to note this, but back in college I was far too “straight”—the 70’s word for “not into partying, drugs/sex/rock ‘n roll”—to be involved in what my poem describes πŸ™‚

Lost youth’s surreal dream

College world, life-time ago

Seventy-one, -two

Campus, mixed haze of unrest

Drowsy nirvana pipe smoke

Lady Twilight

Sheer gossamer haze

Dressed for twilight dinner

Lavender boa, clouds amid blue…

Sky’s radiance subtle, honored Lady makes eagerly awaited entrance.
