Beyond… (#writephoto)

Thursday photo prompt: Beyond #writephoto

Sue Vincent’s photo

Beyond, there’s so much there, beyond…

It’s a place quite real, I’ve yet to see

Where Light never ends, some call it Glory

And Peace prevails, like no peace imagined…

Where one tale ends…and begins my true story.

Everlasting, Eternal (A to Z, Letter E)

Everything of this earthly life

Is temporary, fleeting, gone in

Blink of eye or with the wind.

Even memories are fragile

Some like gossamer veil

Tissue easily torn…

But my God is Everlasting

Forever Eternal…His great love

Too, ever-Present, binding me

With mercy, grace for Everyday.

Eyes! Look not so much on what is

Transient, but all that is unseen…

Grand gleaming glory, Everlasting.

Heart! Endeavor now, sow to Holy

Spirit…soon reap best Life Eternal’s

Rest, gift of Jesus’ sacrifice promised

To believers who receive Him… for

God desires that no one perish.

When curious faith-walk here does

End, He’ll call me to blessed mansion

Waiting…forever home, in Father’s house.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17, King James Bible

Last Earthly Breath

Three Line Tales, Week 164

We were driving home for break between school terms, glad to be together—happy to breathe easy after exams, carefree.

Our song came on the radio—Cameron turned it up, and the heater as well, because the temperature had dropped…the weather forecast called for “freezing fog”.

There was something in the roadway ahead, too hazy to define…Cameron suddenly grabbed my hand tight, and with a sharp intake of air we were instantly* on “the other side”.

Contemporary English Version
It will happen suddenly, quicker than the blink of an eye. At the sound of the last trumpet the dead will be raised. We will all be changed, so we will never die again. I Cor 15:52

Stardust to Stardust

https://reinventionsreena.wordpress.com/2019/02/28/reenas-exploration-challenge-76/

First, mere dust, Adam

Then God nudged Abraham

To look up at the stars and count

His progeny of promise, many.

Generations passed… a girl child

Was born one September, made

From stardust and earthen ash

Which shimmered prismatic in

Crescent moon’s light… She was

Sapphire-eyed, heart weighted with

Words which raged and tumbled

Pouring out to fill fountains and wishing

Wells… Poetry springing, moving like

Singing stream for decades.

Then day arrived that, pewter-haired

And vision dimmed—no looking back

Heaven’s forward—with whispered

Breath she spun slowly ’round, no

Disorientation, and fell into benign

Death’s arms… Vast sky was awed

As stardust rose in fine shower

Glittering miles of indigo…

Host of angels welcomed her Home.
