Dizzying beauty beheld

Passion, Legacy of Ashes

Desire embraced me

Naive, hungry, heart consumed

Frozen tundra smokes

Janus-faced passion

Fire’s creative potential

Flames may fast destroy

Quick as emotions’ match-strike

Life’s bright hearth, cold ashes heaped

Ageless Romance

Twittering Tales #125 – 26 February 2019

Sweet piercing passion

Escape from ennui

Tossed pillows, wrinkled sheets waft

Raw perfume, afternoon romance

Did I say I love you?

Yes…you relish the moment your

Name becomes dawn-out keening

On my lips

We aged together

Not realizing we’re “old”…like

Teenagers soon craving “next time”.
