Worship (A to Z Challenge, Letter W)

God’s Word made flesh, JESUS

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain…

To Him alone will the world, all

Creation, bow and kneel, forever

Worship.

In His heart, a wealth of blessings

He’s ever willing to save… Receive

God’s mercy, peace, freedom

From bondage, earthly chains.

No more wandering, wondering

The weary will come…with

Angels we’ll give Him glory

And praise, for only He is

Worthy.

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!” Psalm 95:6, English Standard Version

“Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!” Psalm 96:9, ESV

“Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Phil 2:9-11, Berean Study Bible

“For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” Romans 14:11, New Living Translation

“Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.” Psalm 29:2, ESV

“Then I looked, and I heard the voices of many angels and living creatures and elders encircling the throne, and their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands. In a loud voice they said: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever!” Rev 5:11-13, Berean Study Bible

“All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:27-29, Berean Study Bible

Hope Resurrected (NaPoWriMo)

For Holy Saturday…

I will touch His hem, be healed…

Kneel at His cross, where Love did bleed.

I will pour from heart my tears and praise

Be lifted up…thus, hands to Him I raise.

For grace and mercy reign with Risen King

Hope resurrected, blessed Lord, I sing.

Dressed in radiance, my Savior lives…

Shed Blood covers sins, yes, Christ forgives.

http://www.napowrimo.net/day-nineteen-4/

Optional Prompt:  “write an abecedarian poem – a poem in which the word choice follows the words/order of the alphabet.”

Another eleventh hour entry, color me Amazed!

Able, Blessed to be Called by Christ

Divine invitation, heart’s Desire

Everything isn’t Easy about this Faith-walk

But it’s Greater than anything life without

It has offered…and Heaven’s at my

Rainbow’s end.  I’m sealed IN Christ Jesus

With Kiss of Holy Spirit…it’s LOVE‘S Marvelous

Magnificent journey, Nothing else will measure

Up NowOnly Jesus satisfies, gives Peace

In circumstances where no peace exists (mind

Filled with Questions Raging, Soul in Torment).

Undeserving of grace, I Understand He Views

Me through His Blood, Valuable—which is

Wealth the World can’t afford (says I’m not

Worthy)—but God’s thoughts, Ways are far

Above what people can conceive.

God’s communion with me is more than

Xenial; I’m not mere friend or guest, but

Beloved daughter…

He’s polished all my Yesterdays with

His goodness…so, I’ve got my Zeal on

Must talk-talk-talk about Him🙂

~~*~~

Calmer now, emotional turbulence slowed

Joy returns, wafting on hope’s confidence

That adjustments can be made with

Relative ease…no need for panic, no

Jumping off balconies…just hop in

Vibrant colorful balloon, float, soar

Be at peace once more…

Gifts for Everyone

FOWC with Fandango — Retro

http://www.napowrimo.net/one-week-down/

Host’s Prompt:  Today, we’d like to challenge you to write a poem of gifts and joy. What would you give yourself, if you could have anything? What would you give someone else?

It may be “retro” to wave

Peace sign, sing “all we

Need is love”…but if it were

In my power to hand out

Gifts to Everyone, friends

And strangers alike, those

Would be among presents

I’d glad and generously

Bestow… Like glitter, I’d

Sprinkle JOY, erase your

Frown lines… serve each

Heart a chocolate soufflé

Of HOPE.  And the gift I’d

Most desire for myself, as

Well as to share:  eyes and

Ears of understanding, so

That when we’re with other

People we could truly see

Them, hear who they are

Know what they’re about…

Glimpse tears, listen to

The unspoken melodies

They carry closed within.

I’m not asking to be like

Him, but that’s how God

Knows each soul…inside

Out, upside down, sideways.

Idealistic, naive, a romantic…

I might be mistaken, but if we

Understood better, persons

Near and far—perhaps we’d

Love better, more…if we loved

From place of empathic knowing

We’d probably find real peace

Waits in the wings…an open door

Daredevil casts off

Fear

Possible public criticism, derision…

Life’s

Too brief for masks, chains

Warrior fights for person imprisoned…freedom, peace in authenticity.

Silence Found

https://sundaywhirl.wordpress.com/2019/03/17/wordle-395/

Three years it took

To find the silence

Fires had bellowed

Across the earth

Bowing beams of

Houses and hearts

Before burning every

Framed room, fiber

Devastating forests

Dreams and souls…

Prayers like incense

Lifted, Heaven opened

Grace rains came cool

Tender wave upon wave

Replenishing land, causing

Seed to quicken, flourish again.

Having found silvered silence

Luminous riches folded within…

I put on its complementary

Garment of writing

Danced mute song of praise.
