Some Loves

I love love LOVE this poem from Heather ❤

Please leave comments on her original post, blog—thank you!

Some loves
burst into
the world
like a kernel
of corn exploding
from the heat
which cannot be

Some loves
unfold like buds
sipping of spring rain
dancing on each ray of sunshine
slowly unfurling
stretching each petal
coming to full bloom.

Some loves
for ever tumultuous, withstand
summer hailstorms of words
flashes of lightning,
until the thunderous roar rumbles
into the distant setting sun

Some loves
sail like leaves
floating aimlessly
on autumn winds
comfortably settling
into a long winters nap
without need to articulate
all that it is

Any Place (6-Sentence Story)

PROMPT:  Place

Oh no, I did it…lost my place.

Thought Thursday was a LONG ways away.

But here it is, yep, calendar says “Thursday”…

I’ve been here and there and everywhere…surely I was some place.

Now, brain and fingers are scampering crazily…

To find, squeeze into, any place with all who meet for 6-Sentence Story Sundays!

Ain’t Digging Post Holes

FOWC with Fandango — Post

Ain’t digging post holes

Here, son…burning midnight hours

Wringing poetry

Fair or feeble, from old heart’s

Laundry basket, mem’ry rags…

Mind’s quixotic threads

Unraveled, spilling onto

Quick-clicking keyboard…

Yeah, poems, good sir…

No use building fence to keep

Ravaged soul’s words penned.

Poet Gluttony  Today’s sentence: “Help!”

Thoughts squiggle, incoherent

Buffet: delicious challenges, prompts…

Poet finds hard to refuse…

Gluttony—drafts In-box full…words somersault, mum-tumble on page.
