Worship (A to Z Challenge, Letter W)

God’s Word made flesh, JESUS

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain…

To Him alone will the world, all

Creation, bow and kneel, forever

Worship.

In His heart, a wealth of blessings

He’s ever willing to save… Receive

God’s mercy, peace, freedom

From bondage, earthly chains.

No more wandering, wondering

The weary will come…with

Angels we’ll give Him glory

And praise, for only He is

Worthy.

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!” Psalm 95:6, English Standard Version

“Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!” Psalm 96:9, ESV

“Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Phil 2:9-11, Berean Study Bible

“For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” Romans 14:11, New Living Translation

“Then I looked, and I heard the voices of many angels and living creatures and elders encircling the throne, and their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands. In a loud voice they said: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever!” Rev 5:11-13, Berean Study Bible

“All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:27-29, Berean Study Bible

My Lord Un-Veiled (A to Z Challenge, Letter V)

King of my heart, forever

Valentine…the Lord is Man

Of Valor, mighty Hero; He’s

My Vindicator, just and true

Compassionate and merciful…

In Him, is freedom; my Victory

Assured…He fights fearsome

Battles, smaller ones daily.

Because I believed, received

Him only, God lifted His Veil

Allows me glimpse, Heaven’s View.

To cleave to, worship another

Is Vanity: life without blessings…

Protection, provision; lost

Salvation…eternally separate from

Father’s love, Lord’s communion.

“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give some of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the one who receives it.” Rev 2:17, New Living Translation

“All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. And I will write on them the name of my God, and they will be citizens in the city of my God—the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God. And I will also write on them my new name.” Rev 3:12, New Living Translation

“All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.” Rev 3:5, NLT

“He shall receive blessing from the LORD, and vindication from the God of his salvation.” Psalm 24:5, Berean Study Bible

“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from me, declares the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17, English Standard Version

“Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before.” Joel 2:23, ESV

“With God we perform with valor, and He will trample our enemies.” Psalm 108:13, Berean Study Bible

“He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.” Eccl 5:10, ESV

“But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinth 3:16-18, Berean Study Bible
